Aids Walk Los Angeles

On Oc t ober 18^th 2009 The Los Angeles Amazons joined over 30,000 people in the 25^th Annual Aids Walk “ Los Angeles ”. Several of the Lady Warriors and friends participated in the 6.2 mile walk in Hollywood . This year the organization raised over 3.14 millions dollars which was well needed after 1.6 millions in funding was lost due to the state budget cuts. It was our pleasure to participate in the walk and help our community raise money. L.A.'s Best Family Health Festival

 The “Lady Warriors” participated in hosting the 7^th Annual LA’s BEST Family Health Festival which provides 5000 children and their families with the opportunity to learn and practice healthy habits within the confines of a physically and emotionally safe environment. The focal point of the festival is to generate health awareness and provide access to community resources which will allow our families to make vital lifestyle changes needed to improve their health.
